Our guide to the best free fitness classes

Fitness needn’t break the bank. From running clubs and HIIT to yoga and barre, we’ve put together a list of our favourite free fitness classes in London

Still sticking to your 2018 resolutions? It’s possible to up the ante on your fitness game whilst being on a budget. We know the feeling all too well, especially when we want to save our pennies for that all important post-workout brunch. Here, we’ve listed our top five studios where you can get your sweat on free of charge!

  1. Adidas Studio LDN #HereToCreate studio

Where: 152 Brick Lane, London, E1 5EG
When: Programmed classes and events every week!
Deets: Share your passion for all things FIT at the swanky new Adidas LDN studio

All sessions are free, updated on a weekly basis and can be booked via Facebook Messenger. An array of star trainers such as Adrienne, Kim Hartwell and Tara Margulies feature on the timetable which includes run clubs, boxing, barre, yoga and HIIT – Adidas LDN covers it all!

Post-workout tasty treats: The onsite Refuel Bar has partnered with Bel Air during class and event hours, and is stocked with hot drinks, juice, protein shakes and post-sweat snacks. Catering for vegan, gluten- and dairy-free options, we’re certain there is something for everyone.

  1. Lululemon – in-store yoga

Where: Lululemon Regent Street, London, W1B 4JP
When: Every Sunday morning
Deets: From 10:30am, join Lululemon in their flagship store on Regent Street for a relaxing and energising yoga experience

Each week, Lululemon provide a new local instructor to guide the class. Mats are provided but be sure to arrive 10-15 minutes early to get a good spot! We’re obsessed with all things Lululemon, so it’s a great opportunity to check out all the latest designs and limited edition pieces in store. Be sure to like the Lululemon Facebook page to see what other classes and workshops they have running across London.

Post-workout tasty treats: The Neat Café located in store is the perfect place to grab yourself a rejuvenating smoothie, shake or Ozone coffee. With healthy breakfast, snack and lunch options, you can kick back after a class, catch up with your mates and get a selfie in the photobooth. 

Sweaty Betty free fitness class

  1. Sweaty Betty – get fit for free

Where: Frame studio, downstairs at Sweaty Betty Shoreditch
When: Various, check the Sweaty Betty Facebook page
Deets: Dance, yoga and barre classes take place each week

We joined Gede Foster for a free bum-sculpting barre blitz class on our lunch break. Frame’s barre class mixes elements of pilates, dance, yoga and functional training and promises to tone your muscles encouraging that burn and shake! Increase your strength and flexibility with isometric movements that target your smaller muscles and help to create long, lean limbs.

Post-workout treat: Only got a few spare minutes before heading back to the office? Grab a latte and a speedy lunch from AllPress Coffee – their avocado on rye bread with feta and pumpkin seeds is an absolute delight.

Reebok Fithub free fitness

  1. Reebok FITHUB

Where: 32 Long Acre, WC2E 9LA and 35-47 King’s Rd, Chelsea, SW3 4NB
When: Various dates throughout February
Deets: Running, yoga, bootcamp, circuits – you name it and you will find a class that covers it at Reebok Fithub

Reebok Fithub has been designed to inspire us to train hard and have fun whilst getting fit. Keep an eye out in store or online on the Reebok Fithub Facebook page for a list of all the free classes available each week. With two Fithub locations in London, there’s nothing stopping us North or South Londoners heading central for our sweat fix!

Post-workout treats:
Covent Garden: The Black Penny – perfect for brunch classics and delicious freshly brewed *strong* coffee.
Kings Road: L’ETO – nutritious and healthy brunch dishes served ‘til 5pm everyday!

  1. Womens Health Run Club – #WHRC

Where: Another_Space, Covent Garden 4-10 Tower St, London, WC2H 9NP
When: Every Tuesday
Deets: 18:30 onwards

Womens Health magazine has collaborated with Another_Space, bringing you a run club with a twist. Expect a 5km run with added HIIT stops every kilometer ensuring you burn those extra calories whilst building lean muscle! Arrive at the studio from 6pm, lock away your valuables and get ready for a 6:30 start.

Post-workout treat: Neat Nutrition protein shakes are available in the studio or head to nearby Chick ‘n’ Sours for a naughty but nice post-run chicken-fest.

No need to splash the cash

These are just a few of our favourite free classes in London. The best bit is, they won’t cost you a penny, so you can go and blow your budget on a bottomless brunch instead!

Top tip: Don’t forget London has over 3,000 parks and playgrounds so there’s no excuse to miss training if your bank balance is feeling the pinch.
